Japan, which seriously infringed upon the sovereignty of China by "nationalizing" the Diaoyu Islands, is ridiculously talking about jointly settling the issue of the islands at the UN General Assembly session, alleging that the trend of the times should be the starting point.

Recalling this fact, the article queried if Japan is qualified to argue about "trend".

As there are fundamental and moral obligations in the international relationship, image of a country can not be face-lifted by itself, it noted, asking why Japan has not yet redeemed its past history of aggression wars.
