Present there were Chairman of the Central Committee of the Korean Social Democratic Party Kim Yong Dae who is chairman of the National Reconciliation Council, Chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Korean Chondoist Chongu Party Ryu Mi Yong who is chairwoman of the Council for the Reunification of Tangun's Nation, Presidium Member of the Central Committee of the Democratic Front for the Reunification of the Fatherland Kang Ryon Hak, officials of the Council for the Reunification of Tangun's Nation, Pyongyang citizens and overseas Koreans.

The event began with a memorial service for Tangun.

Then Kang Chol Won, vice-chairman of the Council for the Reunification of Tangun's Nation, made a report.

He said that the Foundation Day of Korea is significantly marked at a time when all the people are working hard to build a thriving nation and achieve national reunification under the leadership of the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un.

He said all Koreans are recollecting with deep emotion the undying feats Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il performed by making sure that Tangun who had been considered as a myth was ascertained to be a man who actually existed and King Tangun's tomb was magnificently built as the mausoleum of the ancestral father of the Korean nation.

He called upon all Koreans to turn out as one in the struggle for national reconciliation, unity and independent reunification true to the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un.
