Presented to the exhibition are more than 900 applied programs developed by teachers, researchers and students in the educational fields from across the country.

The exhibition was divided into 13 panels.

The exhibition will introduce and exchange successes and experiences made in the development and use of programs for IT-based education including program for supporting teaching and studying, program for simulation and practice and program for tele-education.

Present at the opening ceremony were Choe Sang Gon, chairman of the State Science and Technology Commission, officials concerned, teachers, researchers and students of universities, colleges, secondary and primary schools.

Kim Sung Du, chairman of the Education Commission, said at the opening ceremony that the dear respected Kim Jong Un provided a firm guarantee to develop the DPRK into an educational power and a highly civilized socialist country.

He expressed belief that the exhibition will contribute to developing the IT of the country and putting IT-based education on a higher level as required by the demand of the era.

The exhibition goes on until October 11.
