S. Korean Police Officers Hold Biggest Share of Offenders

| Pyongyang, October 4 (KCNA) -- It was recently disclosed that the police officers hold the biggest share of offenders in south Korea, drawing public criticism, according to the south Korean CBS on Tuesday. The Judicial Affairs Department in data submitted to the "parliament" clarified that the crimes committed by officers of the police agency numbered more than 890 cases out of 3 500 plus cases by public officials in the period from January to June. The police agency topped the list of the "government" departments and offices and this situation has continued for three consecutive years, according to the data. Among the offenders are officers of the Judicial Affairs Department, the Supreme Prosecutor's Office and courts. |
