Art Exhibition on Subject of Kim Jong Il's Patriotism Opens

Pyongyang, October 4 (KCNA) -- An art exhibition on the subject of Kim Jong Il's patriotism is going on at the Pyongyang International Cultural Center. On display there are various art pieces contributed by the artists in Pyongyang and provinces including Korean paintings, oil paintings, posters, calligraphic works, sculptures, woodcut prints and woodcrafts. The Korean painting "To further spruce up the mountains and streams in the liberated country", the oil painting "Opening up a new history of Taegyedo Tideland" and other art works impressively show the undying exploits the commanders of Mt. Paektu performed by dedicating their whole life to the prosperity of the country and people's happiness. Seen at the venue also were works including the Korean painting "Song of spring in Rakwon-ri" and the oil painting "New appearance of Pyongyang" which reflect the proud development of the country brought about by the patriotic devotion of leader Kim Jong Il who valued and loved even a blade of grass and a tree in homeland. The oil painting "General and soldiers" and the embroidery "Cosmos along the road to the front" depict the features of Kim Jong Il as a great man who let the DPRK, patriotic legacy bequeathed by President Kim Il Sung, to demonstrate its dignity and might before the world by upholding the banner of Songun. The Korean painting "Continued love" and the oil paining "The June 1st Children's Day" and other works portray the great pride and self-confidence of the Korean people holding in high esteem the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un who is ushering in a new history of great love and devotion with boundlessly noble views on the homeland, people and posterity. Among the exhibited art works are also those showing DPRK servicepersons and people who are dedicating their patriotic devotion to bringing about a prospering morrow of the country in all worksites. |
