Anniversary of Passing of Kim Jong Suk Commemorated in Democratic Congo

Pyongyang, October 5 (KCNA) -- A photo exhibition and a lecture took place in Kinshasa of Democratic Congo on September 17 on the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of the passing of Kim Jong Suk, anti-Japanese war hero. Displayed in the venue of the photo exhibition were photos on the undying feats of the woman commander of Mt. Paektu. The national secretary in charge of International Relations of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Democratic Congo said at the lecture that Kim Jong Suk was born in a patriotic family and participated in the sacred war for the liberation of the country in her early years. She participated in the armed struggle till the country's liberation after joining the Korean People's Revolutionary Army commanded by President Kim Il Sung. She protected Kim Il Sung at the risk of her life in many battlefields during the period of the hard-fought anti-Japanese war. Kim Jong Suk successfully carried out the revolutionary tasks assigned to her by Kim Il Sung at all times, the national secretary said, and went on. She displayed mysterious marksmanship and trained guerrillas as fighters possessed of ardent love for the country and its people and indomitable faith by setting a practical example in the van of guerrillas at all times. She visited different parts of the country after the liberation of the Korea and powerfully aroused the people to the building of a new country, true to the intention of Kim Il Sung. Her noble life always shines along with the prosperity of socialist Korea. |
