The renaming of the university is an event to be specially recorded in the history of the party and the revolutionary forces and a great event which witnessed the realization of the greatest desire of all teachers, cadets and all other service personnel of the Korean People's Internal Security Forces (KPISF).

A meeting of teachers and cadets of the university took place on Friday to vow to repay the deep trust and great loving care shown by Supreme Commander Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Present there were Ri Pyong Sam, alternate member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and director of the Political Department of the KPISF, officials, teachers, cadets and employees of the university.

Kim Chang Il, rector of the university, made a report to be followed by speeches.

Kim Jong Il provided field guidance to the university more than ten times since he visited it accompanying anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk in June 1948, clarifying specific issues ranging from the mission and duty of the university, educational contents and orientation of its development to educational conditions and supply service and reposing profound trust in it.
