Those events were held to mark the 15th anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's election as general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, the 67th anniversary of the Party and the 86th anniversary of the Down-with-Imperialism Union (DIU).

On display in the venues of the events were famous works of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il, books and photos introducing the service persons and people performing miracles in building a thriving nation and fine arts pieces associated with the creative wisdom and talents of the Korean people.

The participants in the film show watched films of the DPRK "Fireworks for a Thriving Nation" and "The Grand Gymnastic and Artistic Performance 'Arirang'"

Jesus Antonio Carlos Hernandez, general secretary of the Central Committee of the People's Socialist Party of Mexico, noted that the existence of such an invincible revolutionary party as the WPK provides great strength and courage to the world progressive people and revolutionaries.

A department director of a district committee of Rome Municipality of the Communist Party of Italy said that the WPK is fully demonstrating its dignity and might before the world along with the august names of the peerlessly great men.

The director of the Editorial Board of Teleambiente TV Consortium of Italy and the chief of the editorial board of a magazine-publishing house of Italy said that progressive mankind boundlessly reveres Kim Jong Il who wisely led the WPK, and highly praises the dear respected Kim Jong Un who is carrying forward the cause of Kim Jong Il.

Camano Vitor, chairman of the Group for the Study of the Juche Idea in Conakry, Guinea, noted that the single-minded unity of whole society in the DPRK is growing stronger as supreme leader Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the WPK, is pursuing politics of love for the people, successfully carrying forward the idea and cause of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.
