Japan Urged to Settle Its Past Crimes without Fail
Pyongyang, October 8 (KCNA) -- The Korean people will surely force Japan to pay a thousand-fold price for the crimes committed by the Japanese imperialists and smash the Japanese militarists' moves to reinvade Korea, says Rodong Sinmun Monday in a bylined article.

On Oct. 8, 1895, a gang of Japanese man-killers headed by the then Japanese Diplomatic Minister in Korea Miura stormed its royal palace and murdered Queen Min and many court ladies and ministers in cold blood, the article says, and goes on:

The murder of Queen Min was one of the most hideous crimes the Japanese imperialists committed against the Korean people.

This incident proved that the Japanese imperialists were the most ferocious barbarians in the world as they killed even the queen of a country to meet their aggressive purposes.

The Japanese imperialists' savage murder of the queen of Korea whom the nation considered as a symbol of the state sovereignty after storming the royal palace was absolutely unpardonable barbarism in the light of ethics, morality and international law.

The crimes committed by the Japanese imperialists during their colonial rule over Korea were unheard-of crimes against humanity and the Korean nation.

67 years have passed since the defeat of the Japanese imperialists.

The Japanese reactionaries are, however, craftily working to evade the responsibility for the bloody history of their invasion of Korea, far from making apology and reparation for them.

They are sadly mistaken if they think they can repeat the history of their past aggression of Korea.

Minju Joson in a bylined article says that the slaying of the queen was monstrous state-sponsored terrorism perpetrated by the Japanese imperialists in the past.
