Rodong Sinmun Raps U.S.-S. Korea "Missile Guidance Agreement"

Pyongyang, October 12 (KCNA) -- The Lee Myung Bak regime of south Korea recently announced "missile guidance agreement" with the U.S. It said that it can strike all parts of the DPRK from the middle area of south Korea. He ordered the military to quickly deploy ballistic missiles with heavier warheads and with longer range to be ready to go into action. In the meantime, the U.S. is zealously instigating the Lee regime to do so, claiming that its "missile guidance agreement" was an "absolutely appropriate measure." Rodong Sinmun Friday observes in a bylined commentary in this regard: The publication of the "missile guidance agreement" by the U.S. and the Lee Myung Bak puppet regime is obviously a grave military provocation against the DPRK and a clear revelation of their scenario for a war against it. This clearly proves the conspiracy and tie-up between the U.S. and the Lee group seeking a preemptive attack on the DPRK has entered a very dangerous phase which allows no one to remain a passive onlooker to them. The U.S. is making an effective use of such confrontation maniacs as Lee in carrying out its strategy of attaching importance to the Asia-Pacific. By meeting Lee's imploration for extending the strike range of ballistic missiles, the U.S. is seeking to put the puppet forces under its tighter control and use them as a shock brigade for igniting a war on the Korean Peninsula. The Lee group, finding itself in an abyss of ruin in the last period of its rule, is seeking a way out of the crisis in igniting a war. The Lee group's attempt to realize its ambition for invading the DPRK by extending the strike range of missiles would only precipitate its miserable doom. |
