DPRK Anniversaries Marked in Various Countries

Pyongyang, October 13 (KCNA) -- Various events took place in different countries on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's election as general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), the 67th anniversary of the WPK and the 86th anniversary of the Down-with-Imperialism Union.

They included a meeting, reading session, film shows and book and photo exhibition in Uganda, Poland, Thailand and Switzerland from Oct. 4 to 6.

Displayed at those events were photos on the immortal leadership exploits performed by President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il in party building and the revolutionary activities of the dear respected Kim Jong Un.

Displayed in the venues were works of peerlessly great men and books and photos on the glorious history of the WPK.

Films shown were "Party Founding Memorial Tower" and other Korean films.

Political and public figures and masses of relevant countries attended those events.

Staff members of the DPRK embassies there were present on invitation.

Congratulatory messages to Kim Jong Un were adopted at the events in Poland and Switzerland.
