Chairman Pak Kyong Ho and officials of the confederation and other Koreans were among those present at the meeting.

They laid a floral basket and bouquets before the portraits of Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il in an office of the confederation and paid tribute to them.

The chairman in a speech praised Kim Jong Il for developing the WPK into the eternal party of Kim Il Sung, the most powerful revolutionary party that achieved the unity of the leader, the party and the popular masses and the most popular party that serves the people.

Similar meeting took place by Koreans in Uzbekistan on Oct. 9.

Present there were Jo Yun Hae, chairperson of the Commonwealth of Independent State Regional Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification, officials of the Uzbek Association of Elders for Korean Cultural Tradition, heads of various Korean art groups and other Koreans.

Ju Yong Il, chairman of the association, in a speech praised Kim Jong Il, eternal general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, for having developed the party into a genuine party serving the people and a tested revolutionary party leading the revolution and construction only to victory.

A performance was given by Korean artistes in Uzbekistan.
