Japanese Government Urged to Take Measures to Settle Sexual Slavery Issue
|
|
Pyongyang, October 15 (KCNA) -- Members of an academic research organization and civic organization of south Korea held a press conference in Seoul on Oct. 12 at which they demanded the Japanese government take legal and administrative measures to settle the issue related to sexual slavery. Women who were taken away as sexual slaves for the Imperial Japanese Army in the past are typical victims of the Japanese imperialist colonial domination and rule, they said, referring to the fact that they are still suffering from pain. To settle the issue related to sexual slavery will mark an occasion of showing the will of Japan to liquidate the past crimes, they said. Japan should bear due responsibility for its crimes related to sexual slavery, institute law for making an official apology and reparation to the victims and implement it at an early date, they urged. |
