President Kim Il Sung led the anti-Japanese armed struggle to victory, accomplishing the historic cause of the country's liberation on August 15, 1945, the article said, adding:

He founded the WPK on Oct. 10, 1945.

It was thanks to the birth of the WPK, a revolutionary party, that the Korean people could eradicate the leftover of the Japanese imperialists' colonial rule and successfully carry out the anti-imperialist, anti-feudal democratic revolution.

The WPK fully embodied the Juche idea founded by Kim Il Sung in all fabrics of social life, taking it as the guiding idea. His demise on July 8, 1994 was a great loss to all the Korean people and the world progressives.
