Cuban Ambassador to DPRK Gives Reception to Mark WPK Birthday

Pyongyang, October 17 (KCNA) -- Cuban Ambassador to the DPRK German Hermin Ferras Alvarez gave a reception at his embassy on Wednesday to mark the 67th birthday of the Workers' Party of Korea. Present there on invitation were Kim Yong Il, alternate member of the Political Bureau and secretary of the WPK Central Committee, Vice Department Director Pak Kun Gwang and other officials of the WPK Central Committee. German Hermin Ferras Alvarez said in his speech that the Korean people have achieved shining successes in the building of a thriving nation under the wise leadership of the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un and glorified the immortal revolutionary feats of leader Kim Jong Il. The Cuban people will extend firm support and solidarity to the Korean people in their just efforts in the future, too, he noted, and went on: The friendly relations between the parties and peoples of Cuba and the DPRK provided under the deep concern of the leaders of the two countries would further develop. He sincerely hoped in the name of the Communist Party and the government of Cuba that the WPK will steadily grow. Kim Yong Il said that the Cuban people have staged a dynamic struggle to carry out the decision made at the Sixth Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba. He noted: We will invariably extend firm support and encouragement to the party and people of Cuba in their just struggle to defend the sovereignty of the country and the gains of the revolution. The friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries provided by President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il together with Fidel Castro Ruz and Raul Castro Ruz are developing on good terms under the deep concern of Kim Jong Un. He expressed belief that everlasting will be the friendly relations between the two parties and the two countries forged in the anti-imperialist and anti-U.S. struggle and the joint struggle for realizing the socialist cause. |
