Resignation of President of MBC Demanded by Trade Union

| Pyongyang, October 18 (KCNA) -- The trade union of Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) of south Korea launched a sit-in in demand of the resignation of its president, according to the south Korean Broadcasting System on Tuesday. The union accused President Kim Jae Chol of scheming to turn the jointly-managed corporation into a private business. The trade union warned if the Council of the Association for Promotion of Broadcasting Culture turns down the proposal for his resignation on Oct. 25, the union will immediately launch a strike. |
