Important Days of DPRK Marked Overseas

| Pyongyang, October 19 (KCNA) -- DPRK embassies in different countries received floral baskets and bouquets from personages, organizations and institutions of foreign countries on the occasions of the 15th anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's election as general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and its 67th birthday. Among senders were the chairman and vice-chairmen of the Committee for External Affairs of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, secretary general of the Sind Provincial Committee of the Pakistan People's Party, secretary general of the Sind Provincial Committee of the Awami National Party, chairman of the Pakistani Organization for the Study of the Juche Idea, secretary general of the Lahore Branch of the Pakistan-Korea Friendship Association and other figures. They sent floral baskets to the DPRK embassies in their countries in joint or individual names on Oct. 9. More than 20 units in Malaysia sent floral baskets to the DPRK embassy in Kuala Lumpur. They included the Youth Organization of the Malaysian Chinese Association, M.K.P. Company, Dombo Enterprise Company and Zawala Company. Ali Houdou, president of the Socialist Party of Benin, sent a floral basket to the DPRK embassy in Cotonou on Oct. 1. |
