Placed on both sides of the venue of the ceremony were wreaths laid by leading officials of the Chinese party and government.

At the end of the ceremony the coffin of the great king was transported to Cambodia by his plane, escorted by Cambodian Great Queen Norodom Monineat Sihanouk, Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen and State Councilor of China Dai Bingguo.
