The dear respected Kim Jong Un sent a birthday spread to him on Friday.

Kim Tong Gi was born into a poor worker's family in Tanchon City of South Hamgyong Province.

He experienced the sorrow of a stateless nation and could lead a genuine life only after President Kim Il Sung liberated the country. He took arms in his hand when the Fatherland Liberation War broke out and fought bravely for its victory.

After the war he graduated from a university and devotedly worked for socialist construction.

He was arrested by the enemies while struggling for the sacred cause of national reunification. He waged an indomitable struggle behind bars for more than 30 years, convinced that the revolutionary cause is sure to triumph thanks to the outstanding leaders and the great party.

General Secretary Kim Jong Il bestowed upon the patriot, who struggled, remaining true to his creed as a member of the WPK, the honor of being a Hero of the Republic and a recipient of the National Reunification Prize, and sent a birthday spread on his 70th birthday.

Kim Jong Un invited him to attend the celebrations of the centenary of birth of the President and the victory in the War as delegate.
