The secretary general of the Peruvian Group for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism was elected chairman of the committee at the inaugural ceremony.

Speeches were made at the meeting by the chairman of the Peruvian Group for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, the curator of the Kim Jong Suk Library, the chairman of the Peru-Korea Friendship Institute for Study of the Juche Based Songun Policy and the secretary general of the Peruvian Committee for Supporting the Independent and Peaceful Reunification of Korea.

They said that it is almost one year since Kim Jong Il passed so untimely and sorrowfully, but he is always alive in the hearts of the Korean people and Peruvian people and all other progressives.

Kim Jong Il led the struggle of the Korean people for building a thriving nation and achieving national reunification true to the idea and exploits of President Kim Il Sung and proved the scientific accuracy of socialism theoretically and practically, they noted.

They lauded Kim Jong Il as a world political elder who made a great contribution to the human cause of independence.
