Pyongyang, October 23 (KCNA) -- The Nepali newspaper Baktapur on Oct. 12 carried an article "The situation of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and understanding of it" contributed by Pramod Raj Sedhain, vice-chairman of the International Committee for the Study of Songun Politics for Peaceful Reunification of Korea in Nepal. The article said: The DPRK is a socialist country guided by the great Juche idea of President Kim Il Sung. The service personnel and people of the DPRK have dramatically changed the appearance of Pyongyang which had been reduced to debris during the three-year war ignited by the U.S. imperialists in 1950 and built up monumental edifices and modern houses in various parts of the country with the might of the single-minded unity. The dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un is building the DPRK into a thriving nation by holding high the banner of Songun true to the exploits of the preceding leaders. The DPRK is a country of Songun. The DPRK had access to nuclear deterrence to defend its social system from the increasing military threat posed by the imperialist allied forces. This was a just measure, indeed. Due to the moves of the U.S. and the south Korean puppets the situation on the Korean Peninsula is so tense that a war may break out there any time. The National Defence Commission of the DPRK strongly warned the foolish politicians of the world including the south Korean puppet group not to expect any change in the DPRK. |
