DIU's Anniversary Marked by British Organizations

Pyongyang, October 23 (KCNA) -- The British Association for the Study of Songun Policy and the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea issued a joint statement on Oct. 14 to mark the 86th anniversary of the Down-with-Imperialism Union (DIU).

It said that DIU formed by President Kim Il Sung 86 years ago was the first vanguard organization of genuine young revolutionaries in Korea.

The formation of DIU was a declaration of decisive breaking with factionalism and flunkeyism and a starting point for founding the Juche-oriented revolutionary party in Korea, a new type party, it said, and went on:

It was a historical event which heralded the beginning of the Juche era, a new era of independence, when the popular masses appeared as masters of their own destiny.

The formation of DIU made a red flag of Juche flutter in Korea

The idea and line of DIU were successfully put into practice by the Workers' Party of Korea founded by President Kim Il Sung and developed by leader Kim Jong Il.

The WPK is successfully carrying forward the idea and tradition of DIU, holding aloft the banner of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism under the wise leadership of the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un.

We are confident that the WPK will win a final victory under the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un.
