They are contemplating bringing the issue of the islets to the International Court of Justice within this month in the wake of such grave military provocation as letting a helicopter of the Self-Defence Forces illegally fly over the islets in September.

This is an intolerable act of aggression as it revealed the sinister intention to grab the islets by force of arms and a brigandish action of making profound confusion of right and wrong.

Japan has long staged drills simulating an operation for occupying the islets with troops of the SDF involved.

The SDF has staged in secret "a drill for landing and seizing Tok islets". At that time Japan dared not deploy warships or planes near the islets and waters around them for fear that it might touch off strong protest of Koreans and the world's criticism. It just covertly sent patrol ships or helicopters of the Coast Guard Agency close to the islets.

But this time a warship of the SDF openly intruded into waters off the islets and let an armed helicopter take off from the warship and fly over the islets, indicative of Japan's intention to invade them by force of arms.

The above-mentioned facts prove that the Japanese reactionaries' scenario to grab the islets has already reached a dangerous phase of its implementation.

The ultra-right forces of Japan are set to trigger a military conflict through armed seizure of Tok islets, part of the inviolable territory of the Korean nation, and waters around them and use it for launching the operation for staging a comeback to Korea.

It is a lesson taught by history that political and diplomatic friction among countries over the issues of border and territory sparks off a conflict and dispute and, furthermore, leads to a war.

The Japanese reactionaries and advocators of militarism are, however, lost in wild fancies.

If the Japanese reactionaries forget the history of their shameful defeat and finally launch reinvasion with the reckless operation to grab the islets as a curtain-raiser, they will meet a final doom.
