Yonphyong Island area is the biggest hotspot in which huge forces of the north and the south level their guns at each other and any accidental event may lead to a war.

By militarily stifling the DPRK the U.S. seeks to contain Russia, China and other strategic rivals, step up the formation of military siege to those countries and establish unchallenged hegemony in the region.

Its plan for deployment of precision guided shell Excalibur for an actual war by the end of this year is a clear proof of it.

The U.S. has already tested the capacity of the shell in Iraq and Afghanistan.

In light of this, it is not hard to judge the nature of Sherman's tour of Yonphyong Island and its surrounding area.

This augurs another round of anti-DPRK military provocation in the West Sea of Korea.
