The chief, giving a lecture at a seminar in August, described the participants in the Kwangju Popular Uprising as rioters, the lawmaker said, adding:

"He recently posted an article calling for "sharing the resources around the Tok Islets with Japan" on an Internet website. This disclosed his poor disposition and qualifications."

The lawmaker urged the chief who made undemocratic and sycophantic remarks against the desire of the people to step down.
