Park when interviewed by media on Sunday branded the issue concerning the Park Chung-Hee and Ryuk Yong Su Foundation as a political offensive by opposition parties, saying its operation has had no problem and she has no bearing on it, the article noted, adding:

Answering a question about the extortion of the foundation, she repeatedly referred to the court judgment that it was established not based on extortion. She said it was newly inaugurated thanks to the donation of individuals and thus it is not related to the Pusan Daily Foundation, falsity of truth.

The main property of the Park Chung-Hee and Ryuk Yong Su Foundation came from the stocks of the media organization which the foundation seized from Kim Ji Thae, the then director of Pusan Daily.

There is criticism even from the "Saenuri Party" that the interview disclosed the candidate's defects only and drew fresh suspicions.
