The games were divided into sports teams and amateur sports teams. Participants are competing in almost 50 events in Pyongyang and various local places

Men's soccer finals between the Pyongyang City team and the team of the Ministry of Railways in the amateur group took place at Kim Il Sung Stadium on Friday.

The Pyongyang City team and the team of the ministry which overwhelmingly beat their rivals in the league matches trounced the teams of North Phyongan and South Hamgyong provinces in semi-finals 4:0 and 1:0 respectively before advancing into finals.

A seesaw match was played by the two teams from its very start.

At the finals the Pyongyang City team snubbed its rival of the ministry 2:1, emerging winner in the men's soccer event in the amateur sports group.
