S. Korean Regime Accused of Staging DPRK-targeted War Drill

Pyongyang, October 28 (KCNA) -- The south Korean warmongers kicked off large-scale drill dubbed Hoguk 2012 from Thursday under the pretext of coping with the north's "local provocations". A bylined commentary of Rodong Sinmun Sunday says it reveals the south Korean regime's traitorous policy of war against the north. The high-stake military drill is dangerous as it edges the situation of the Korean Peninsula and the rest of the Northeast Asia towards the brink of war, says the commentary, adding: It is as clear as day that the Lee Myung Bak regime bereft of discretion being gripped by anti-DPRK war hysteria and serious ruling crisis is considering igniting a new war. Lurking behind the Lee regime's war maneuvers is an intention to turn the situation in favor of it ahead of the "presidential elections" by creating "security crisis". It is preposterous for the south Korean conservative forces to hang onto power by creating "security crisis" under the signboard of coping with the "north's provocations". The reckless moves of the Lee regime that destroy peace and threaten the countrymen's life and security in pursuit of its own wealth, honor and power will trigger bigger resentment of south Koreans. The Lee Myung Bak group of traitors would be well advised to behave with discretion, aware that the provocations for a war against the DPRK will lead to self-destruction. |
