Naming the postgraduate research institute after general secretary Kim Jong Il made it possible to glorify the immortal exploits performed by illustrious commander of Mt. Paektu in the army-building and develop the university into that of the great Generalissimos training all-round military commanding officers firmly armed with Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il strategic and tactics and intensely loyal to the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un, feelers of Songun revolution.

A meeting took place on Sunday to rename the Postgraduate Research Institute Kim Jong Il Military Postgraduate Research Institute.

Present there were Choe Ryong Hae, Hyon Yong Chol, Kim Jong Gak, Hyon Chol Hae and officials of party and armed forces organs, teachers, postgraduates and students of the university and officials of various military schools.

The order of the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea on renaming the institute after Kim Jong Il was conveyed by KPA General Hyon Yong Chol, chief of the KPA General Staff.

The order noted that Generalissimo Kim Il Sung established the tradition of Juche-oriented military education in the flames of the anti-Japanese struggle, energetically led the work for training core backbone of the regular armed forces after liberation of Korea and founded the university during the Fatherland Liberation War.

The order recalled that Generalissimo Kim Jong Il energetically led the work for developing the university and saw to it that the postgraduate research institute was founded, ushering in a heyday of Juche-oriented military education and adding shine to the Juche-oriented military thought and war methods of the President.

The WPK Central Military Commission of the issued an order to rename the postgraduate research institute after Kim Jong Il in order to glorify forever the exploits performed by the great Generalissimos in founding and developing the revolutionary armed forces and train more able military commanding officers flying the immortal flags bearing the portraits of smiling Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and giving steady continuity to bloodline of Mt. Paektu.

The speakers referred to the highest honor and privilege of renaming the institute after Kim Jong Il bestowed by Supreme Commander Kim Jong Un upon the university.
