Rodong Sinmun Monday says in a bylined commentary in this regard:

This is a dangerous conspiracy and tie-up to strengthen the military "alliance" for invading the DPRK under the pretext of "threat from the north" and, on this basis, ignite a nuclear war on the Korean Peninsula at any cost.

The U.S. is now mulling effectively using such reckless warmongers of south Korea as traitor Lee Myung Bak in carrying out its strategy of attaching importance to the Asia-Pacific region. Some time ago, the U.S. met the earnest request of south Korea to extend its missile range and decided to hold twice or more the meeting of the south Korea-U.S. military committee in a year which had been held once in a year. Through this, the U.S. seeks to put south Korea under tighter control and use it as a shock brigade for aggression against the DPRK and seize it by force of arms.

At the recent confabs the south Korean regime agreed with its American master to intensify "joint watch" for ensuring security during the "presidential election". This is a crafty ploy to build up public opinion on "the security crisis" to be created by "provocations" from the north in a bid to divert elsewhere public attention and secure a justification for the conservative regime's stay in power. The joint military exercises Hoguk kicked off by the south Korean warmongers together with the U.S. forces are also designed to create such crisis and ignite a war against the DPRK.

It is impossible to ensure peace on this land and security in Northeast Asia if the desperate moves of the U.S. and Lee Myung Bak group of traitors to escalate confrontation with fellow countrymen and their reckless moves for a war are left unchecked.
