This is a wanton violation of the inalienable sovereign right of the DPRK to the territorial waters.

The Armistice Agreement says that sea waters in the north and west of the provincial boundary line between Hwanghae-do and Kyonggi-do is under the military control of the DPRK side except the island groups of Paengyong-do, Taechong-do, Sochong-do, Yonphyong-do and U-do, which are under the military control of the U.S. side.

After the ceasefire the U.S. imperialist aggressor forces unilaterally set NLL in the inalienable territorial waters of the DPRK without any agreement with the DPRK.

The south Korean puppet regime does not hesitate to commit such a provocation as intruding into the territorial waters of the DPRK, claiming that NLL is based on the view on the territory and it is working to preserve five islands in the West Sea of Korea.

Its moves are a dangerous act aimed to escalate the military confrontation and tensions between the north and the south and provoke a war against the north, which increases the danger of the outbreak of a new war on the Korean Peninsula with each passing day.

The Southwestern Front Command of the Korean People's Army is in full readiness to launch into a decisive battle as demanded by the operational plan of the KPA Supreme Command. If the enemies make a slightest provocation, the revolutionary armed forces of the DPRK will turn the West Sea of Korea into a graveyard of the war maniacs.
