In order to emerge victorious in the forthcoming election, the progressive forces should commit themselves to implementing the south-north joint declarations, he noted, adding:

It would be impossible to fulfill such commitments as democratization of economy and the building of a well-off society without the implementation of the joint declarations.

It is also necessary to implement the declarations in order to seek a peaceful settlement of such prevailing situation where the danger of war is further increasing than ever before.

The annulment of the declarations which consider reunification as the only way out and promise all blessings would result in a horrible war only.

All policies in south Korea in the future should focus on the unconditional implementation of the joint declarations.
