Rodong Sinmun Tuesday observes in a bylined commentary in this regard:

Frequent anti-DPRK huddles being held by the Lee Myung Bak group with U.S. officials under the pretext of "coping with provocations" are nothing but a dangerous scenario to round off the preparations for a war against the north.

The U.S. and the Lee group's moves to tighten the conspiracy and nexus in the anti-DPRK campaign with the "presidential election" at hand are prompted by their sinister intention to noisily advertise the fiction about "provocations from the north" in a bid to fabricate fresh "north wind" and use it for exercising influence on the "election."

It is the calculation of the U.S. to ensure the stay of the pro-U.S. conservative regime in power through the "election" in an effort to bar the inter-Korean relations from improving and carry out its strategy for invading the DPRK.

The Lee group now finding itself in an abyss of ruin, rebuffed and condemned by various circles, is now making desperate efforts to escape a stern judgment by history by ensuring the stay of the conservative regime in power come what may.

In pursuance of these common interests American masters and their south Korean servants are more closely conspiring with each other in floating the stories about "provocations from the north" in a bid to give rise to "the north wind" in south Korea and thus divert the public attention elsewhere and let the conservative regime stay in power.

This despicable scenario of the U.S. and its south Korean lackeys, however, would get them nowhere.
