The Pyongyang Taegyong Laver Processing Factory is another proud creation in the era of the Workers' Party which was built thanks to the loving care of general secretary Kim Jong Il who devoted all his efforts to providing the Korean people with more affluent life.

With a plottage of 8,000 square meters and a total floor space of more than 2 800 square meters, the factory has the latest equipment for second laver processing and modern equipment for processing tangle weed, squid, etc.

A commissioning ceremony took place on Tuesday.

Kim Song Am, director of the Taegyong Guidance Bureau, in his address called for increasing the variety of processed aquatic products including laver and raising their qualities, bearing in mind the intention of Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and the dear respected Kim Jong Un to make the Korean people enjoy wealth and prosperity under socialism.

He also called for turning the factory into a comprehensive aquatic product processing base and repaying the trust and expectation of the party.
