Drills are now under way under the simulated conditions of mounting a preemptive attack on the areas of the DPRK according to the carefully worked out scenario for invading the north. Involved in them are more than 240,000 troops including U.S. forces in south Korea and the three services of the south Korean puppet army.

The exercise includes drills for implementing an army corps-level operation scenario, joint anti-aircraft and joint drill for air formation assault to cope with threat of large-scale aerial attack, integrated defense drill and joint landing drill. The air force of south Korea is expected to make at least 700 sorties and more than 60 warships are expected to operate during the exercise.
