The meeting reviewed successes and experience gained in the work to implement the WPK's policy of public health on the occasion of the first anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's work made public on Oct. 7 2011.

A signal turn has been brought about in the spiritual and moral traits of medical workers.

The introduction of cell engineering, gene engineering, molecular biology and nano technology resulted in progress in the treatment and prevention of diseases.
