Hot Rolling Process at Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex Updated

Pyongyang, October 31 (KCNA) -- The project for introducing high-temperature air combustion heating furnace and device for compensating for reactive power to the hot rolling process has been successfully completed at the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex in the DPRK. This helped establish Korean-style new steel sheet production system and lay a solid foundation to keep the rolled steel production going at a high rate while saving funds and electricity. An inaugural ceremony took place on Wednesday. Present there were Han Hyo Yon, minister of Metal Industry, O Su Yong, chief secretary of the North Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned, officials and employees of the complex, service personnel, officials and researchers of the relevant units. A message of thanks of the WPK Central Committee to the workers, technicians, officials and helpers who performed labor feats in the project for modernizing the hot rolling process at the complex was conveyed at the ceremony. The message highly praised the workers, technicians and officials of the complex and their helpers for making great progress in the drive to put the hot rolling process on a Juche-oriented and modern basis. An inaugural speech was made by Han Hyo Yon to be followed by speeches. Speakers called for intensifying the drive for bringing about great innovations and leap forward in the iron and steel production and putting the overall production processes on a Juche-oriented and modern basis. |
