The article recalls that the history of victories in the arduous anti-imperialist revolutionary struggle of Korea and those in large and small wars in the world proves that ideology is mightier than any arms and equipment.

The lesson taught by socialist countries in Eastern Europe shows that any army is useless and no more than a trouble-maker making mess of revolution unless it becomes the army of the party and the army strong in ideology, no matter what good weapons it is equipped with, it says, and goes on:

The conception that ideology is important in a war does not mean that one may slight arms and equipment. If a country is to win in the struggle against ferocious imperialists, it should have strong military muscle. The present times are an age of latest science and technology. It is an urgent demand and vital task for the independent people to develop military science and technology in keeping with this age.

Latest military science, space technology and nuclear weapons are not a monopoly of the U.S.

The military and technological edge of the U.S. imperialists is no longer workable as the capability for self-defense and military technology are making rapid progress in the anti-imperialist independent countries.

The might of the strong army finds a clear manifestation in the political and moral advantages. This was more clearly proved and demonstrated in the nuclear stand-off between the DPRK and the U.S. The army and the people of the DPRK have never tolerated any slightest pressure and high-handed practice of the U.S. but resolutely met the U.S. imperialists' blatant challenge in a do-or-die spirit and with persevering will.

The revolutionary armed forces of the DPRK are now equipped with offensive and defensive means strong enough to wage any modern war and large-scale war. The Korean People's Army has grown to be an army strong in ideology and faith.

No force on earth can match the DPRK in which all the service personnel and people have formed a harmonious whole, holding the dear respected Kim Jong Un in high esteem as the supreme commander.

The military and technological advantages are no longer a monopoly of the imperialists and gone are the days never to return when they could threaten and blackmail the DPRK with A-bombs.

The imperialists would be well advised to behave themselves, mindful of the above-said reality.
