The production of CNC-based equipment sparked off a drive for pushing the frontiers of latest science and technology in the overall industrial fields in the north and was the fruition of his devotion and efforts.

This was because he personally conceived operations and indicated specific ways for carrying them out and steered every work, solving everything necessary.

The CNC-based industry in the north is now racing against time thanks to its solid foundation.

Kim Jong Il, giving field guidance to the Huichon Ryonha General Machine Plant in December 2010, his face beaming with a broad smile, looked like the leader declaring victory before the world.

The hot CNC wind which swept across the north may be viewed as a clear proof of the validity of the economic construction line in the Songun era which calls for preferential development of defense industry and simultaneous development of light industry and agriculture, the line laid down by Kim Jong Il.
