S. Korean Newspaper Urges Japan to Make Reparation for Its Past

Pyongyang, November 4 (KCNA) -- The south Korean newspaper Segye Ilbo in an editorial denounced Japan for shameful action of evading the responsibility for its past war crimes and distorting history.

The editorial said Japan has not yet made a sincere apology for the crimes of the colonial rule by the Japanese imperialists.

On the issue of the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army, in particular, Japan has not made an apology and reparation, it said. It did not hesitate to lay territorial claim to Tok Islets.

The Japanese government should clearly face up to the situation, it urged.
