The president expressed deep condolences over the passing of leader Kim Jong Il.

Kim Jong Il was a great leader who made great contributions to promoting the Korean people's well-being and ensuring global peace and security, said the president.

He sincerely wished the dear respected Kim Jong Un great successes in his work for accomplishing the cause of Kim Jong Il.

The African people will never forget the support and encouragement rendered by the DPRK to them in their struggle for national liberation, said the president, expressing willingness to make positive efforts to boost the relations between the ECOWAS and the DPRK.

The president wished the government and people of the DPRK success in their struggle for achieving the peaceful reunification of the country.
