Rodong Sinmun Pushes for Immediate Abolition of "Security Law" in S. Korea
Pyongyang, November 7 (KCNA) -- The south Korean authorities should abolish the "Security Law", a fascist and anti-reunification law, as demanded by the people of various circles and the international community.

Rodong Sinmun Wednesday urges this in a bylined commentary.

The recent 2nd Circle of the Universal Periodic Review at the UN adopted a decision calling on south Korea to abolish the "Security Law".

In the wake of the adoption of this decision people of various circles in south Korea condemned SL as the worst evil law and are now strongly demanding the "government" authorities immediately abolish SL. This is public condemnation of the unprecedentedly draconic anti-human rights and fascist law in history.

SL crudely violates human rights and incriminates just activities of the patriotic people.

Due to this law, south Korean people and organizations are being brutally suppressed on groundless charges that they "sympathize with the north" and stand against the "government" though they are calling for national independence, peaceful reunification and social democracy.

The crackdown is being perpetrated more indiscriminately with the "presidential election" at hand.

Facts go to prove that SL will remain more poisonous in south Korea as a lever for fascist dictatorship and the stay of the conservative group in power as long as it is allowed to remain in office.

There is no justification for SL to remain in force as it violates justice and human rights in south Korea and stands in the way of achieving national reunification, holds the commentary.
