Pyongyang, November 8 (KCNA) -- Political party and organizations in Britain staged a demo outside the south Korean embassy in London on Nov. 1 in protest against the U.S. imperialists and the south Korean regime's moves against the DPRK and Korea's reunification. Present at the demo were figures of the New Communist Party, the Association for the Study of Songun Policy, the British Branch of the Korean Friendship Association and the Group for the Study of the Juche Idea and other British people. A statement was released by the British Branch of the Korean Friendship Association before the demo. The statement accused the U.S. and the south Korean regime of having staged madcap war maneuvers aimed at invading the DPRK with huge troops involved. The joint military exercises are a dangerous act that aggravates the situation of the Korean Peninsula, said the statement, urging the U.S. and the south Korean authorities to stop at once their criminal provocations. It hit out at the south Korean regime for having detained Ro Su Hui, vice-chairman of the South Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification, who returned to south Korea through Panmunjom after visiting Pyongyang to pay respects to leader Kim Jong Il on the 100th day since his demise. It also vehemently denounced south Korea's human rights abuses against its people. The demonstrators denounced the U.S. imperialists and the south Korean regime's moves against the DPRK and reunification, shouting slogans "Yankee, do not interfere in Korea!" and "Release Vice-Chairman Ro Su Hui!" They sent a letter of protest to the south Korean embassy. |
