They included the Kangjong Village Association, the All-islanders Measure Committee for Checking the Military Base on Jeju Island, the Measure Committee for Checking the Construction of the Naval Base on Jeju Island and the People for Achieving Peace and Reunification of south Korea.

A press release was read out at the press conference.

The release urged the "government" authorities to totally cut down the 2013 budget for NA related to the construction of the naval base.

They demanded this because the "government" is building the naval base for the U.S. forces, deceiving the people, it noted.

The press release demanded the authorities stop at once the construction unilaterally undertaken by them.
