KCNA Commentary Slams Park Geun Hye's Commitments to Confrontation

Pyongyang, November 12 (KCNA) -- Park Geun Hye, "presidential candidate" from the south Korean "Saenuri Party", on Nov. 5 announced her commitments to diplomacy, security and unification policies, in which she declared she would carry forward the "unification proposal for national community based on order of liberal democracy." The proposal is an anti-reunification proposal for confrontation which the former military fascist dictator put up decades ago only to be thrown into a dust bin of history, condemned by the whole nation. Then what prompted her to trumpet about the proposal again? Her announcement of the proposal was little short of her declaration that she would pursue the confrontation of the social systems at any cost even before the election, surpassing the successive rulers' stand toward the north. Her commitments to policies remind one of the nightmare during the disgusting "yusin" fascist dictatorship. The "yusin" regime made its appearance after suppressing south Korean people who expressed desire for the reunification of the country, chanting slogans "Let us go to the north, come to the south and Let us meet at Panmunjom!" It openly declared a policy for freezing the division in June 1973, less than one year after the July 4 joint statement was published, and extended the dictatorial regime through the anti-reunification moves for confrontation after dashing the hope of the nation to see groundwork for national reunification laid. It was the "yusin" dictator who took such action as to build the grudge-bearing concrete wall dividing Korea into two parts, not content with the moves to create "two Koreas". The present demeanor of Park undoubtedly indicates that she will follow in the footsteps of the "yusin" dictator who turned south Korea into a tundra of democracy and human rights and got crazy for north-south confrontation and a war against the north, hell-bent on sycophancy toward the U.S., treachery and fascist rule. It is a nightmare for the descendant of the "yusin" dictator to work hard to satisfy her greed for power, deceiving the public with empty words "change" and "revamp." Her commitments to diplomacy, security and unification policies are being strongly censured by the south Korean people as they are a copy of the anti-reunification and treacherous actions of the "yusin" regime. Her commitments are more dangerous than traitor Lee Myung Bak's "policy toward the north" which made a mess of the June 15 era of reunification as they bring into bolder relief her attempt at escalating the confrontation of the social systems and her wild dream of achieving "unification through absorption." It is nonsensical to talk about "the era of peace and concord" while rejecting the social system of the other party, vociferating about "order of liberal democracy" and kicking up an anti-DPRK human rights racket. Her commitments would bring only confrontation and war. The "unification under liberal democracy" advocated by the south Korean conservative group is nothing but a pipedream. Park would be well advised to behave herself, facing up to the trend of the times. |
