Racket of Praising "Yusin" Dictatorship Denounced

Pyongyang, November 13 (KCNA) -- The racket of extolling the "yusin" dictator and agitating for the revival of dictatorship has become undisguised in south Korea recently. North Kyongsang Province, known as the playground of the conservative forces, took the lead in this racket. The conservative group in the province has poured about 127 billion won (in south Korean currency) into the affair of extolling the military dictator in recent 5 years. They funded the construction of "memorial facility", "Park Chung Hee information hall" and "park" in Kumi City as well as the setting up of a research institution for the "yusin" dictatorial politics at Yeongnam University. They have become intent on giving wide publicity to the administrative achievements of the fascist dictator after building "square" and "memorial hall" while praising traitor Park's "new village movement" in Phohang and Mungyong cities, Chongdo county and other areas. Gravity of the situation lies in that this racket is in progress under the sponsorship and patronage of the "government" and "Saenuri Party". The "government" spent nearly 40 billion won, accounting for half of the budget for the project, for the construction of the "park" in Kumi City. It is under such active patronage that the anachronistic racket of praising the dictatorial rule and agitating for the revival of "yusin" is frantically under way in south Korea. Upset by the increase of the progressive forces, the ruling quarters plan to solidify their political footing and realize their ambition to stay in power by conjuring up "nostalgia" for Park Chung Hee that has taken deep roots among the conservative forces. |
