Minju Joson Flails Japan's Saber-rattling to Round off Reinvasion

Pyongyang, November 14 (KCNA) -- Japan started large-scale joint military maneuvers in the waters off Okinawa on Nov. 5 under the pretext of "strengthening defense posture" with the Japan "Self-Defense Forces" and U.S. forces involved. Minju Joson Wednesday says in a bylined commentary in this regard: The large-scale joint military maneuvers kicked off by Japan by mobilizing armed forces huge enough to carry out a war are a grave military provocation screwing up the situation in Northeast Asia and threatening its neighboring countries. Through this saber-rattling Japan seeks to actively develop latest military hardware as required by a modern war and further round off the capability for carrying out joint operations with the U.S. forces in contingency in a bid to provide conditions for attaining any military goal with ease. That is why it is so keen on joint military exercises with the U.S. forces. This is based on its calculation that its actions backed by the U.S. serve the purpose of threatening its neighboring countries by force of arms and aggravating the situation in its vicinity and are favorable for attaining its ultimate aim to turn itself into a military giant and stage a comeback to Korea. Hence, the Japanese reactionaries leave no means untried to tighten the military nexus with the U.S. forces. They think everything will be settled only when they kowtow to the U.S. and cling to its coattails, but this behavior only invites the derision of the world people. Their foolish scenario to realize their ambition to turn Japan into a military giant and stage a comeback to Korea by taking advantage of the U.S. Asia strategy would only lead them to a miserable end. They had better stop their rash acts, properly understanding how things are going on in the world. |
