Its operation makes it possible to increase the production of nonferrous metals to contribute to the development of the nation's economy and improvement of the people's living standard.

Its inaugural ceremony took place on Wednesday.

Present at the ceremony were Thae Jong Su, chief secretary of the South Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned and employees of the mine.

A message of thanks from the WPK Central Committee to the workers, technicians and officials who performed labor feats in the construction of the dressing plant was read out.

It highly praised the workers, technicians and officials for adding to the wealth of the country by devoting all their wisdom and enthusiasm.
