Brazilian Newspaper Accuses S. Korea of Beefing Up Armed Forces
Pyongyang, November 15 (KCNA) -- The Brazilian newspaper Hora do Povo on Nov. 7 carried an article accusing the south Korean authorities of beefing up armed forces.

The paper referred in detail to the fact that the south Korean puppet forces are getting frantic in their moves to beef up armed forces as evidenced by the extension of the missile range in a bid to mount a preemptive attack on the DPRK at a time when the U.S. imperialists are intensifying their military advance into Asia.

Pursuing its hostile policy towards the DPRK, south Korea is mulling drastically increasing military spending next year and, at the same time, frantically pushing ahead with the building of a large-scale naval base on Jeju Island, pursuant to the U.S. strategic purpose, the paper noted, and went on: The U.S. set up many military bases in south Korea which are targeted against the DPRK and China, according to its Asia-Pacific strategy. Japan is reinforcing the Okinawa military base, maintaining the relations of military cooperation with the U.S.
