Christer Lundgren, chairman of the Sweden-Korea Friendship Association, was elected chairman of the committee.

Eric Andersson, international secretary of the Communist Party in Sweden, Shel Bigden, international secretary of the Communist Party of Sweden, and Oskar Molleby, chief of the Swedish Group for the Study of the Juche Idea, were elected its members.

The committee decided to introduce the exploits of Kim Jong Il and his revolutionary career through diverse events like lectures, publications and internet websites.
